Why mental health is the least concern?

We live where our physical appearance and health are too much considered. Hope you have felt it. We can see a lot of relatives pointing it out when you shed some pounds or add some pounds. Staying physically healthy is much simpler because you will always have people around you giving tips every now and then. Alternatively, when it comes to mental health, it’s not always the same.

Concerning mental health is always to keep it a secret. Something that is too awkward to share. Or something that is an unnecessary expense. Why such a bias?

Watching a movie, or hitting the gym is not an additional expense. But consulting a therapist is. Having junk food once or twice a week is normal. But taking pills is noted as an unhealthy lifestyle.

Why?

The reasons are so simple. To an extent, it is the ignorance society has about mental health. The previous generation has somehow managed to live under stress and they expect the current and upcoming generation to be so.

Work stress, family pressures, financial instabilities, relationship traumas, and abuses once faced; the reason can be any for a person to go unstable. All mental traumas are not the same and not always with a similar cause. Obviously, not all remedies are the same.

Not always talking to a friend, or going on a road trip can be remedied for your stress. In some cases, you may need professional assistance and medications if necessary. Not always having an ice cream can cool your mind, it may be pills that you may need at times.

If trying to get rid of obesity is necessary, having a peaceful mind and taking necessary actions for that is equally important.
